David B Flynn is a designer, art director and painter based in New York City. His practice focuses on identity and print for hospitality and cultural institutions, bringing analog tactility and structure to every system, mark, and surface.
My painting practice is an outsider’s observation of past and present culture and an absurdist investigation of portraiture through collections of objects, places and people.
Each painting is an autographical examination and exercise of recounting memories that have been fragmented and combined to create new unspecific, relatable recollections.
